Judy Wicks is hiring a Personal Assistant!
Judy is seeking a Personal Assistant to support her busy activist life and to keep the home-based headquarters organized and running smoothly. The ideal candidate is upbeat and amicable and willing to do what is called for, and who has a commitment to progressive social change and a love of dogs. Strong organizational skills are needed to keep track of projects, connections and ideas. Must be proficient at taking photographs and simple video and publishing to social media, and updating and managing websites. Writing skills needed for various assignments.
Responsibilities
Maintain and improve office and digital operational systems, including troubleshooting technology as issues arise;
General office duties such as filing, maintaining office supplies;
Maintain photo and scrapbook archives;
Oversee various household functions to make sure everything runs smoothly;
Manage other independent contractors such as dog sitters and repairmen;
Update several websites and make regular posts on social media;
Accompany Judy to meetings and events as needed.
Requirements
A valid driver's license;
Good organizational skills and ability to work independently on a range of tasks;
Amicable, flexible and fun;
Competent in operating and organizing GSuite applications such as gmail, calendar, and drive;
Confidence in digital marketing tools such as social media, SquareSpace, Wordpress;
Able to manage your own time to meet deadlines set by external factors, and also set deadlines for yourself and meet those successfully;
Hustle and strong work ethic;
Commitment to excellence in everything you do;
Passion for justice and love of nature;
Previous personal assistant experience is a plus, but not required.
Logistics
Job starts: ASAP
Hours: 15 hours/week, ideally 3 hours each day, or could also be 2, 7.5 hour days.
Location: Partly remote work, but must be near Fitler Square for in-person meetings or tasks as they come up.
Compensation: $25/hour, independent contractor
